I'm Chris, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, songwriter, mixing and mastering engineer from Reading, U.K. now based in Hamburg, Germany.
Over my career I have been fortunate to have toured throughout Europe, playing shows with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Frank Turner, Wolfmother, ITCHY, Maverick Sabre, Lewis Watson, John Power (The La’s, Cast), Juanita Stein (Howling Bells), Blackout Problems, Press Club, LEAP and many more. Music I have been part of has been featured and played on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Fritz FM and many more across the US and world. My portfolio has totalled over 4 millions streams worldwide.
I started my band PLAIINS in 2021 shortly after moving to Hamburg. To date we have released three EPs and multiple B-sides being awarded several grants from Initiative Musik and others then signing to Long Branch Records of SPV in December 2023 releasing our debut album on 15th August 2025 to critical and commercial acclaim. “This striking debut proves they’ve mastered their chosen idiom of cartoonishly gobby alt-punk. As a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, I specialise in helping rock, punk, indie and alternative artists and bands create powerful and exciting sounding records, honing their uniqueness, style, vision and sound helping them reach their goals and growing their audiences. I love to work closely with the artists and bands making time for experimentation and focussing on the song.
I mainly work from my studio in Stellingen in Hamburg as well as multiple other studios depending on the project and when needed.
